What is the PTE Exam?

The Pearson Test of English or PTE is a test for evaluating English language proficiency and anybody who wishes to apply to any of the English-speaking countries for education, work or immigration purposes can register for this exam. The PTE test spans 2 hours and evaluates based on four basic skills including Speaking, Writing, Reading, and Listening as each of these skills holds equal weightage in the knowledge of the English language. This test is fully computer-based and is carried out in different versions which include PTE Academic, PTE Core and PTE Home.
