Teesside University was established as Constantine Technical College in 1930. Later, it became a polytechnic in 1969. The Privy Council conferred university status on it in 1992. In the 1970s, a merger with the Teesside College of Education led to the establishment of the University of Teesside. The university was later renamed as the Teesside University in 2009.

Students should fulfil any of the following requirements to gain admission to an undergraduate programme:

  1. A minimum of 65% from any state board examination. (OR)
  2. A minimum of 60% from the State Board of Technical Education’s diploma. (OR)
  3. A minimum of 27 points from the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

 

For the postgraduate diploma, a student should have either of the following qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 55% marks (OR) and a CGPA of 5.8/10  from any recognised Indian university. (OR)
